Website adapted to the app

After the app was released, we’ve also thoroughly reworked the Happy Puppy website to be completely compatible with the app!

The website has been completely overhauled, and is now in its third generation. This time the generally-visible info section has not been changed, but the members’ section has been transformed across the board: Profile creation, profile search, message generation and timelines with photos and videos included.

Adaptation to the app

If you’ve already used the app we published last year, the website should feel very familiar. That’s because we’ve used the same technology and structures as in the app. This was an important step that allowed us to integrate changes and new functionality without requiring two fundamentally different programming codes. One example of this assimilation is that from now on, as in the app, the profile search appears on the map.

Loading times and outlook

Happy Puppy is growing, and so is its membership. As some of you may have noticed, this has affected the loading times. During peak usage the old website developed a number of problems that influenced website loading times and app functionality. We do not expect to encounter these problems now the new website is online.

These two major works in progress have now been completed, so we now have more time to implement the ideas you’ve sent us over the years: A simple switchover from dog borrower to dog owner, additional filters, a monthly payment option for Premium Members and availability in other languages.
